The following workshops are scheduled for 2008. If you would like to sign up for a workshop, please come to the workshop table during the guild meeting, or email Kathy Spielman. Workshops are open to the public. All workshops will be held at the Dover Public Library. All workshop fees are due at signup.
In this class a wallhanging of nine stars will be made learning the Square in a Square technique. Oh my stars! – “Never cut or sew a triangle again!” Measuring 25” X 25”, this quilt is fast and fun, rewarding you with a top at the end of the class. Options and pattern needed to make this beginner quilt are included with the Square in a Square ruler. Jean will have the ruler for sale at the Guild meetings and the class. Learn how Pat does her quilts with fusible and the machine blanket stitch. She discusses color selection and shares how she designs quilts. Learn all the tips and tricks on how to prepare your designs for fusible work, then practice the blanket stitch with your machine. Pat thinks you’ll have your quilt well on its way by the end of the workshop. Pattern is included. In keeping with the theme of the Quilt show we will be making “Heartfelt Welcome”, a Welcome sign with a basket. Class size 20 Fee $50.00

Meet Jane A Blakely Stickle and her 1863 Civil war guilt. Make several of the 4 ½ inch blocks from her quilt, using quick cut and appliqué techniques by hand or machine. All levels, beginners welcome. Class size 20 Fee $70.00
Challenge your self with some of the more difficult 4 ½ inch blocks from Jane’s quilt; techniques included will be machine and hand piecing, using freezer paper templates and appliqué. Intermediate to advanced or first class participants. Class size 20 Fee $70.00
